to God’s speed.
It all began with an idea for an urban retreat house, a place to provide hallowed space for Quiet and Reflection. A place for people to be still, pray, listen, learn, and receive spiritual guidance. Rooted in the contemplative tradition, we resonate with Richard Foster, author of Celebration of Discipline, when he wrote, “The desperate need for today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people.” The Abbey is a place for people to grow deeper in their spiritual lives.
