The Contemplative Pause - “The Mixed Life”

The Contemplative Pause is a short podcast designed to help you pause in the middle of your week, in the middle of your busy life; and briefly think about who you are, if there really is a God who knows and loves you, and how that knowledge might change you and move you forward.

This is episode three of our 2023 Lenten series.  This series features conversations with a few friends about some of their recent contributions and how they reflect the contemplative life or contemplative way of searching and listening for God.

Episode 3 is entitled The Mixed Life and features Bishop Michael Smith. Bishop Smith is a friend of the Abbey and a founding member of its Council.

Bp. Michael is the retired Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of North Dakota and currently the assisting Bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas and the Episcopal Diocese of Albany.

He is a Benedictine oblate, teaches Spiritual Theology, leads retreats and is a spiritual director.

Please take a listen to today’s --- wait for it --- Contemplative Pause.  Blessings on your way.
